Ramos wants only Man United move

The Real Madrid centre-back has been the subject
of intense speculation surrounding a proposed
move to Old Trafford, a destination the player
would seemingly be keen to embrace
Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon
says Sergio Ramos wants to join Manchester
United.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a big-money
move to Old Trafford this summer after reportedly
growing tired of delays in contract negotiations at
Madrid and the Red Devils are keen to complete a
deal .
And Calderon, who also revealed Ramos'
unhappiness at the Santiago Bernabeu, says the
Spaniard has asked the club's hierarchy to
sanction talks with United.
Calderon told the BBC : "I know Sergio has told the
general manager to listen to offers they get from
Manchester United.
"He only wants to go to United."
The 64-year-old served as the club's president
between 2006-09 and says Ramos feels unloved at
the club he joined in 2005.
"Things are in a very bad situation," he added.
"As time has gone on, things have not only not
improved, they have got worse.
"Now it is not a question of money. It is a lack of
affection the player is feeling from Real Madrid."
United and Madrid are also expected to discuss
David de Gea's future, with the 24-year-old ready
to return to Spain - although any deal isn't
expected to involve Ramos or vice-versa.
Calderon, too, feels the star goalkeeper's future is
uncertain, adding: "It is like a game of poker, with
David de Gea in the middle."
