BREAKING NEWS : Leicester City sacks Pearson

Leicester City have sacked manager Nigel
Pearson, the club have announced.
Despite a miraculous run at the end of the
Premier League season for the Foxes,
meaning Leicester finished in 14th, the
club have made the decision to relieve
Pearson of his duties.
A statement on the club’s website read:
‘The Board of Directors recognises the
success Nigel has helped to bring to
Leicester City during his two spells in
charge of the Club, particularly during the
last three and a half years.
‘However, it has become clear to the Club
that fundamental differences in perspective
exist between us.
Regrettably, the Club believes that the
working relationship between Nigel and the
Board is no longer viable.’
The Board went on to thank Pearson for the
contribution he has made since arriving for
his second stint at the King Power Stadium
in 2011.
