Liverpool to trigger £21.5million Carlos Bacca buyout clause

Liverpool are reportedly preparing to meet
Carlos Bacca’s £21.5million release clause
to conclude a deal for the striker as soon as
possible.
Managing director Ian Ayre is currently in
Chile having secured the signing of Brazil
star Roberto Firmino, and is set to remain
there to complete a deal for Bacca.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool’s desire
to add further attacking reinforcements will
see them meet the Colombian’s £21.5m
release clause, with the club understood to
be keen to complete a sixth summer signing
as quickly as possible.
Manchester United are believed to be
interested in the 28-year-old, but Liverpool
are hoping to beat their rivals to his
signature by acting swiftly.
