Hugo Lloris talks about Manchester United
The Frenchman hinted that he is keeping tabs on
developments at Old Trafford regarding the
Spaniard's future, but does not yet want to discuss
a move in public
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has again
evaded talk of a move to Manchester United as a
potential replacement for David De Gea.
In an interview on Sunday Lloris hinted that a
transfer to Old Trafford may materialise , revealing
that he remains "vigilant about the latest news".
Goal has learned that De Gea has informed United
of his wish to join Real Madrid , but Lloris was
keeping his distance when grilled by Sky Sports.
"At the moment De Gea is still a goalkeper at
Manchester United so I have no reason to speak
about that," he said after France were beaten 4-3
by Belgium on Sunday.
The former Lyon keeper did, however, admit once
again that he wants to perform at the highest level,
particularly in the Champions League.
"For any player you need to play at a high level to
improve yourself and be performing [well] to help
the team and the national team improve," he
added.
"I think every player wants to play in this
competition because it's a high level, We work for
that, we work every day for that and I hope I get
another chance in my career to play in the
Champions League."
