LVG calm over summer transfer progress

Manchester United are not panicking as their
summer transfer business unfolds.
Numerous alleged targets for the Reds have
switched clubs or signed new contracts but Old
Trafford’s hierarchy are understood to be
comfortable with their progress in the market and
manager Louis van Gaal is not getting uptight
about lack of movement this early in the window.
Barcelona’s Dani Alves signed a new two-year-
deal at the club but though the Reds are looking
for a right back there had been no enquiry made
for the Brazilian.

Karim Benzema’s agent says the French striker
wants to stay at Real Madrid but United claim they
have not been in contact at all over attempting to
lure him from the Bernabeu.
Similarly Chelsea keeper Petr Cech is reportedly
wanting to stay in London if he leaves Stamford
Bridge and that news was greeted as a blow for
United.
But it is believed the Reds are not enthusiastic
about bringing him to Manchester.
