Manchester United are closing in on the
signing of Mario Mandzukic, according to
reports.
The Croatian striker is set to leave Atletico
Madrid this summer after a fall out with
their manager Diego Simeone.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have
been linked with a deal, but the Sun says
United are close to doing business.
The paper claims Mandzukic is now a top
striker, despite claims Gonzalo Higuain as
agreed to join from Napoli.
Mandzukic scored 20 goals in 37 games last
term for Atletico and is a proven goalscorer
who can also bring others into play.
He’s valued at £36million.
