Sergio Ramos has reportedly been taking
English lessons as Manchester United
prepare a £21.4million-plus-David De Gea
bid for his services.
The Spaniard has emerged as a surprise
target for United in recent weeks, with Louis
van Gaal looking to take advantage of Real
Madrid’s interest in De Gea to secure a
deal.
And according to AS, Ramos has already
taken the decision to leave the Spanish
capital after becoming unsatisfied with
Madrid’s latest contract offering and the
fact that no-one from the club has denied
the rumours that he will be offered to fierce
rivals Barcelona.
United are believed to have already offered
the 29-year-old a deal worth double what
he earns at Old Trafford, and are now ready
to offer Madrid £21.4m and De Gea to
complete a stunning deal worth £53.5m all
in.
It is also understood that Ramos has been
taking English lessons for a number of
months to prepare for a potential move, with
United already making their interest known
to the player’s brother and agent last April.
