Viera - Sterling is wanted by everyone.

The Frenchman thinks the Liverpool
attacker has
rightfully attracted attention, but hinted this would
make it harder for the club to sign him this
summer
Manchester City football development executive
Patrick Vieira has warned his colleagues the club
face a dogfight to sign Raheem Sterling.
The Liverpool attacker has been the subject of a
number of bids from City, with Goal revealing that
their most recent €63 million bid is a final take-it-
or-leave-it offer.
And although a move has yet to materialise, Vieir
believes Sterling represents the progress Manuel
Pellegrini's side have made over the last few
years.
"I think every big name will be linked with City
because City are a big club in Europe. Players will
want to join the club and have success," Vieira tol
ESPN FC.
"I think if you go down and ask 10 people what
they think about Sterling, I think nine would give
you a positive answer.
"I would be part of the nine people because he's
shown how good he is, how well he's been doing
at Liverpool. If he is on the market, not only City
are interested in him."
City finished without silverware last season but
Vieira is confident in the club's progression,
adding: "When I look at the team four or five years
ago, as opposed to where it is now, it's obviously
a different level.
"I remember before I joined the club, Manchester
City were fighting to stay in the Premier League.
We're just talking about four or five years ago, no
they are fighting to win the title. They are fighting
to win the Champions League. They are competin
against the best teams in Europe.
"So I think the team has improved a lot, the club
is really going up fast.
"Now, when you have Manchester City in the
market, to try to bring a big name, big name
players think about it. That shows how Mancheste
City have become bigger and important in
international football."
