FAI claim Fifa paid them £3.6m
Football
Here is more on the claims that Fifa paid the
Football Association of Ireland to stop legal action
over Thierry Henry's handball in Ireland's World

Fifa.

A fee was then agreed to drop the claim, Delaney
said, after Ireland missed the 2010 finals in South
Africa.
The fee was believed to be 5 million euros
(£3.6m).

The transfer window on 1 September will slam

Super League's new marquee-player rule will

To Hull and back
Football
Relegated Hull City were top of the Premier League
when it came to entertaining away fans last

Nearly 4,000 fans in all four professional divisions
of English football took part. They were asked to
rate transport links, turnstiles, stadium layout, food
and drink, view of the pitch and security.
Only 4% cited the likelihood of watching their team
win as a reason for making an away trip.
