Falcao wants EPL stay
The Colombia international endured a nightmare
season on loan at Manchester United but insists
that he would like to continue plying his trade in
England
Radamel Falcao has revealed he would like to stay
in the Premier League as Chelsea attempt to strike
a deal with Monaco to sign the striker this
summer.
Goal reported on Friday that Jose Mourinho is
driving the Blues' interest in Falcao as he believes
he can revive the Colombia international, who
endured a nightmare season on loan to
Manchester United.
Falcao has now admitted that he would like to
continue plying his trade in the Premier League
next season - despite scoring just four goals in 2
appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils
last term.
“I know it has been speculated very much about
Chelsea,” he told El Tiempo. “I try to stay out of it
I care about working with Colombia [at this
summer's Copa America] for now. That’s what my
agent does.
“I would like to continue in the Premier League. M
future will be decided in the coming weeks.”
Falcao joined Monaco from Atletico Madrid in the
summer of 2013, penning a lucrative five-year
contract with the principality club.
