Manchester United could be about to make their
biggest signing of the summer - by buying another
football club!
Reports from Australia have linked with Old
Trafford giants with a takeover of Melbourne
Victory.
Melbourne radio station 3AW claims the Premier
League giants are mulling over a bid for Victory.
3AW's Sam McClure revealed on air: "Having
witnessed the success of Manchester City's
purchase of Melbourne (Heart), United are seriously
considering following in the footsteps of their noisy
neighbours, as they're called, and buying the
Victory,
"While the Victory are open to a proposal, there is
a view a sale may be more suited to Liverpool
given an already existing relationship.
"There are rumblings out of Manchester, over the
last couple of days, that they've seen what City
has done with Melbourne Heart and would like to
put their hat in the ring for something similar.
"All I'm saying, is that in five years' time the
Melbourne derby could be City v United."
