Rafa Benitez gives go ahead for Bale sale

Manchester United are closer than ever to
signing Gareth Bale after sources close to
Real Madrid reportedly claimed that Rafael
Benitez could already have been ordered to
sell him.
Benitez is set to accept the Madrid
manager’s job within a matter of days, but
is facing problems over the composition of
his squad before his tenure has even
begun.
Bale’s future is in doubt after enduring a
below-par season at the Bernabeu, with
United understood to be waiting in the
wings should his time in the Spanish
capital come to an abrupt end.
And according to reports in Spain, sources
close to the club believe Benitez may have
already been told to offload the 25-year-old
before the start of the new season.
The ex-Tottenham man would still
command a colossal transfer fee, but this
could be United’s best chance yet to get
him.
